Do you have a check engine light?

sounds like an air leak or an idle sensor issue

Yeah. That's on and my flex pipe is rotted out. Big exhaust leak. Getting it welded tomorrow.

P0171 is bank 1 lean so you probably have a vacuum leak which would explain the stalling.

p0134 an oxygen sensor code (bank one sensor one) This is probabaly on b/c of the p0171.

Sometimes can a vacume leak mean something as small as needing a new gas cap?

sometimes but in this case i doubt that is the problem. I gas cap can give a check engine light, but it wont cause stalling issues. Something like this i would say either a bad gasket on the intake, a bad sensor in the idle or emission system, or a worn vacuum lines

A gas cap wont fix your issues. Like TE said either an intake manifold gasket is leaking or a tired o2 sensor.
