RE: 7 bolt 6 bolt swap

6 or 7 refers to GST/GST. If its not the turbo engine then that does not apply

RE: 7 bolt 6 bolt swap

i believe that requires a new ecu and some other wiring stuff... not exactly sure though, but not very cheap

RE: 7 bolt 6 bolt swap

yea the ECU is about 200 bucks and wouldnt the stock wireing work? maybe not but i can get that also

RE: 7 bolt 6 bolt swap

if you are swapping to a turbo you will need both new ECU and wiring harness, possibley new mounts

RE: 7 bolt 6 bolt swap

i dunno about new mounts, its the same motor just not a turbo lol... That wiring harness would be pretty rough to swap out, but it is doable... also, you might wanna think about beefin up the insides, along with the fuel, air, etc...

*sidenote: when sebba said it "refers to GST/GST"... he meant to say "refers to GST/GSX"*

whats the point of dropping the 6 bolt in. You could just build up the motor that is in your car now. But you are gonna need lower compression pistons. Oh and check out www.vfaq.com. It shows how to turbo a NT 1g. It is not easy and IMO not worth it since there are so many turbo version around to buy
