Default 7 bolt 6 bolt swap

is there any thing i had to do diffent if the engine im going to put in is a 6 and mine is a 7? i pretty sure mine is a 7 because it was made sep of 1992. is there any modifing i will have to do?

6 or 7 refers to GST/GST. If its not the turbo engine then that does not apply

but i have a non turbo 6 bolt that i plan on converin to a turbo.forgied pistons, rods, injecters ect.

i believe that requires a new ecu and some other wiring stuff... not exactly sure though, but not very cheap

yea the ECU is about 200 bucks and wouldnt the stock wireing work? maybe not but i can get that also

if you are swapping to a turbo you will need both new ECU and wiring harness, possibley new mounts

i dunno about new mounts, its the same motor just not a turbo lol... That wiring harness would be pretty rough to swap out, but it is doable... also, you might wanna think about beefin up the insides, along with the fuel, air, etc...

whats the point of dropping the 6 bolt in. You could just build up the motor that is in your car now. But you are gonna need lower compression pistons. Oh and check out www.vfaq.com. It shows how to turbo a NT 1g. It is not easy and IMO not worth it since there are so many turbo version around to buy
