I was looking around on ebay yesterday and saw what appeared to be some good deals on Ebay. I am wondering has anyone bought rims from Ebay and if so where they actually good quality or did they feel like there made out of aluminum foil.

 

Actually, I just purchased some Devino 18" rims from ebay for $395 and there were no problems. They arrived in a few days, no scratches, lug pattern was good and they look perdy. Just waiting to get some tires on them.

I bought a set of brand new 18 inch Raptor Racing light weight aluminum racing style rims from E-bay for $300 for my '99 GS-T...They look really good...it was a wholesaler who had like 5 pages of rims for sale and I bid on some noone else had bid on...The thing you gotta watch for with purchasing rims or anything else off of there is shipping charges...that's where you may get railed and they make their money that way...it should cost around $80 to $100 to ship rims depending on where you are at so be careful.

 

I figured that $150 - 200 for shipping was a bit excessive but it's nice to have that confirmed

 

Oh, another question. How do you know what size tire will fit on a particular rim? Forgive my ignorance but I spend all day working on HMMWVs so I don't really do custom rims all that much

 

Find out what your lug pattern is, and usually when you buy rims on ebay...there will be a size chart to let you know if they fit on your car. Or, you can find out what type of rim it is, and go directly to the manufacturers website and see.
