Default CF hood on Eclipse

i like the way my car looks stock but i can't figure out what is the deal with that little hump on the driver side? So anyway i was lookin online for some new hoods and i found some EVO hoods that might look nice on my ride or a G Speed Style...black carbon fiber. The G Speed Style has open vents with a copper like mesh...of course im goin for a black and red color scheme on my ride but i was thinkin bout adding something to match with the copper, if i decide to get it...just want some opinions

what copper? do you have a 1st gen or 2nd gen. in the 1st gen the lil hump is there to make clearance for the cam gears. the design just kind of came over into the 2nd gens. i perosnally like the look of it. i am looking at this hood also as a posability for my 2nd gen gsx i'll be getting pretty soon. i dont' care for the side vents but i would like the evo vents.

i got a 2nd generation eclipse so i don't see the use of the hump...i was lookin at an EVO hood too but this black one caught my eye...the copper i was referring to was on the vents, doesn't it look like copper in the picture?

Thats just the lighting. And this is the same style hood that FOG has on his evo. Very nice styling IMO

it's not copper. like Engineer said it's just the lighting. i've seen this hood on one other car before but i can't find where i found it at... it did look super sexy! i wish i could find a stock lookin EVO hood for my car but if they don't have one by the time i get my GSX this is the one i'm getting.

no no, i know that F.O.G. has one on his EVO but i've seen it on an Eclipse before and it looked really nice! i just can't remember where i saw it... i'm sure with enough time and effort spent looking on cardomain i could find one but i don't feel like looking through 20 pages of mostly ricers to find a hood lol.

It is a VIS "TRACER" model hood. They are pretty expensive...in the $650 to $750 range. I masked off the louvers and painted the rest of it. Came out really nice.
