I wonder if the plate is sufficient for this purpose?

Why would you like to disable the EGR in the 1st place?

Any joy on this looking for the same blanking plates cannot find ones for the 4n14 engines

 

The 4n14 requires remapping of the ECU in order to disable EGR functionality, thus, just a blanker will not work, unfortunately. The ECU checks temperature of the exhaust gases and concludes about the correctness of the EGR work. If you "just blank" then after some hours of engine run you will get a fault code.

 

Yeah we're looking the blanking plate but can't get correct ones
