Hey people i am looking for some stats on my 2001 galant i need info on hp and all that good stuff so i can have something to base my upgrades with. any help you all can give me will be greatly appreciated.

that all depends on whether you have the v6 or the 4-cylinder. Here are the stats for both:

3.0L V6
Max Power=195HP@5500
Torque=205ft-lb@4000

2.4L I4
Max Power=140HP@5050
Torque=155ft-lb@4040

well just as a hint on looking for specs for any car, i know of two places to do it.

autos.msn.com

www.internetautoguide.com

if you don't feel like remembering these then just simply go into google and do a search for "name and year of car specs"
works every time.

as far as after market, your best bet would be to just go to the site in which you want to buy from, For instance if you want an injen intake just go to www.injen.com, ect.

 

No no no for parts you need to know 1 thing your car share the same exact motor as the 3G eclipse a 2G stratus. some most pars are interchangible. youll have better luck looking for eclipse 3G parts and just useing them in the galant.

BTW the engine codes are 4G64 for the I4
and 6G72 for the V6
