ok when i start the car it seems like its not running on all cylinders like its missing or flooding down kinda feels like its chokeing itself. and when its idle for awhile it drop rpms then goes back up and drops and then tries to die on me. does anyone know what any of this could be if you would let me know so i can get it fixed. thank you

 

Yeah bad spark plug wires or bad plugs... maybe both just change em both.

DONT use aftermarket wires. Just get a set of Mitsubishi wires and a nice set of NGK plugs.

 

so you are saying that your idle is fluctuating. If thats the case then its either a sensor of an air leak

 

ok my idle was fluctuating and tries to die now it just runs like its not gettin enough fuel and runs rough and still tries to die i got some plugs today autolite douple plats the wires and everthing have been changed but the plugs didnt get changed so im gonna try that today and see what happens does anyone think it could be a clogged cat cause i was told it could be that. thanks for everyones help

any check engine light? Maybe it coule be an 02 sensor.

 

no check engine light is coming on so I dont think it is an 02 sensor but I will try cleaning my throttle body

 

i still say it sounds like you might have a crack in the intake manifold, or maybe even an ecu issue if your not getting any CEL's. Becuase with a problem like this i dont know why it wouldnt. Also could be a bad Mass Air

 

ok i replaced the plugs they were bad it starts and runs replaced mass air flow sensor cause its runnin a little rich still haveing idle problems fluctuating and dies what else can it be i checked for craks didnt find any besides on the exhaust manifold which gave me a good reason to buy a header if you have an idea let me know thanks

 

ok yesterday i was checking for vac leaks and noticed when the fan kicks on thats when the car does the funny idle and tries to die any suggestions i know it a electrical prob. somewhere need to know basically where to start
