Default How much weight reduction to gain 1 hp

So if I lighten my car, how much weight would I have to lose to roughly gain 1hp? I hope that makes sense.

Thanks

you dont gain ANY hp loseing wieght...thats like a fat guy dieting to gain wieght...making your car lighter just makes you accelerate faster and handle better because your car will have less wieght to throw around or drag the car down...go engine and trans mods for HP

i dont think subtracting weight "adds" hp, but it gives it a better power-to-weight ratio... the rule of thumb is for every 100lbs=1/10 of a second... hope that helps... If you wanna get crazy about shavin weight, then you can scrap the interior, meaning panels, rear-seats, airbags (if no longer a street car), you can pull the a/c which i believe is about 30 some odd lbs. right there, little stuff, ya know?

The doors arent even carbon. Its ismply the carbon face on the normal frame. Little gain.

there are 2 different kinds of weight reduction. just weight that you can take out of the car and also rotational mass weight. an example of the first kind would be taking a passenger seat out to lighten the car, you will see little to no gain from this unles you strip the entire car. the second kind of weight reduction is the kind that you get from lightening the rotational mass or rotating assembly which can be had from a lightweight flywheel, carbon fiber drive shaft (awd and rwd only of course) and... well that's just about all i can think of lol. hope this helps.
