intercooler
i have a eagle talon tsi with only a full exhaust i have a fmic i was just wondering if i will have pressure drop if i install it? my stock intercooler is leaking air, would it be better to leave the stock one on or put on the front mount? and will i loose more pressure by putting on the front mount than whats leaking out the side mount right now?

RE: intercooler
How is your stock one leaking?? You will loose boost with a bigger IC but it will only be 1-2 PSI and it will cool better than the stock one. so If you already have it them put it on. That is what I would do other wise there is no need to buy one if you havent... not that it is a bad modd or anything you need to cool the boost as best as you can

RE: intercooler
What kind of FMIC, that will tell you your pressure drop. Different brands/sizes have different specs. For instance my front mount which measures 32x12x4 has a pressure drop of 1.2psi....not to bad if you ask me. Pressure drop is much different than a leak. Pressure drop means the turbo just has to work alittle harder to get you your psi. A leak means your turbo is pumping that same psi but loosing that air it.

so you bottomed it out enough to damage your stock side mount? is it mangled from it or just off place?

RE: intercooler
Its really hard to say.....you really need to find out who the manufacture is of that particular intercooler to get the pressure drop spec. I'm even afraid to through out a guess because I have no idea. I'm sure its really nothing to worry about at all. Just have fun with it and get that thing on there, because for what it will make up in air temps and looks will over ride the pressure drop.
