In Sept '07 I bought a '07 Outlander with 2 keyless remotes. After 4 months a remote, while having good battery, no longer worked. As instructed, I brought car in with both remotes as they needed to be re-programmed by the dealer. After some 6 hours it was done. The dealer is not near by, so this required a special lengthy trip and leaving the car for most of the day.
3 months later one of the remotes did not work once again. Having had the lengthy experince decided to go withthe sole remote. Well this remote last week finally also failed. So now I'm using the actual key.
I now have to schedule to bring in car and both remotes to get reprogrammed. I called Mitsubi****hey were schocked that this occured so many times. I think it may be the PC as it is the common element, next would be that BOTH remotes are faulty and should be replaced. In any case it is covered, I hope, by warranty.
Anybody have similar experience?

 

Followup to last. Got keyless remotes re-programmed at dealer today this is second time in less than year. Dealer advised that apperently this is more of awidesperead issue and that Mitsubishi will be coming out with some kind of "upgrade" sounds to me like to me a bug fix...
