Default RE: My Car

I am currently doing a few mods to my1991 Mitsubishi GTO
After having the same rear spoiler on for over 4 years i fancied a change.
I spotted a cheap 99 rear spoiler on ebay, so here is where the mini project began.
After removing my current rear spoiler i was left with far to many holes, so the first job was to get rid of them.

I placed some tape on the centre holes to stop the water from going in.

Off to the bodyshop
A spot off welding was required to fill in the unwanted holes.
We kept 2 of the front holes as a guide to mount the new spoiler.

Then it was skimmed over with a bit of filler

Due to some micro blistering in the old paint, we had to take some of the tailgate down to bare metal.

A templete was made to ensure all the new holes were drilled in the correct place

Now it was time to see if the new spoiler fitted

All was well
So it was back off with the spoiler and off to the paint booth for a spot of primer.
