I have an outlander VRX MITSUBISHI

I am trying to activate the speech button so that I can connect my iPhone to the car but it’s not activating/ I have tried putting it on P and engaging the handbrake and doing this on ACC or the ON switch and it’s still not working.
Can someone please send me the steps to troubleshoot this?

Also can someone please send me the easiest steps to pair my phone to Bluetooth ? My phone doesn’t show on the connections when I once tried to pair it when it randomly decided to work for me.

ps please note that the “set up “ option randomly came up on the display digital board once when I could get to the “pair” option but now whenever I press the “speech” button it does absolutely nothing. How can it be temperamental it’s a machine??
