hi i want to build a car that will beet sheps quarter mile right now i have an 1g eclipse gs a 2g eclipse rs and a seabring ok what i was thinking is that i would have to start over with a tsi or so i would like it to be a 1 gen because of weight diff if i find one i am going to pic it up now before i do so i need to now some upgrades to help beet 8.55 sec i do beleive weight reduction engines tranis suspension eccetra i think i am going to get my engine off of ffwdconnections.com and trani off teamrip.com any other mod ideas would be very helpfull thanx

ok does anyone know what is the lightest but still very durable body parts carbonfiber fiberglass steal polyurithan im not quite shure but leaning towards carbon fiber any info would be greatfull

 

carbonfiber, i believe, is the lightest, and i dont feel that their record is legit...when i lived in pittsburgh, there was a guy with a 1st gen talon running 8s, no bottle, so if this guy is faster, its Barely faster...i cant recall the guys last name, but his first name was curt, and he had a red 1st gen awd. he now has an Evo with bolt ons only running 11 flat...its sick.

 

read up on information... i sounds like you are new to tuning and working on cars.. I dont think you will beat his record... my car is capapable of much more but i only ran an 11.5 you need a different base as well..... sure you can probably transform the gs but buy an awd and work from there. good luck and cheers to you if you succeed in beating the time but practice and knowlege are the best )
