how big is it? where is it located? what car?

 

hi its located next to the battery about 2 inchs long and the same around, one tube leads to the engine what i can see and the larger tube goes to a tube what connects to both the waste gates on the turbos, its a mitsubishi legnum vr4 cheers

My guess is it is some sort of stock boost controller similiar to the ones that are found on eclipses. Typically just called a BCS (Boost control solenoid.) basically it tells the wastegates when to open and close.

 

hi if its a boost control solanoid will it be working since it doesnt have anything connected to the bottom and the red and black wires arent connected either. and is it worth having on if i get it going again cheers
