Well lets look at the pros and cons of both cars

Mustang Pros +

The history
The Tq of a V8
The sound of a V8
RWD
Great aftermarket line
Easy to make power from

Mustang Cons -

Interior is made with **** plastic
Steering is vague (according to a friend who tested one) (i recomend you test it yourself)
Suspension is very old school
RWD can be a handful
Its a ford
Typically owned by big mouth "4 banger stompin" rednecks with an IQ of less than 2 digits

EVO Pros +

AWD - great in all weather
Styling (opinion)
Good fuel economy when driven modestly
Great for autocross.
Handles extremely well
Respondes well to mods
Huge aftermarket

EVO Cons -

Interior is basic (if you are a racer you will apreciate it) There are no gay plastics here
Cop attention
Turbo lag - Only to those that like to race in 5th gear at 30mph

You know, I think this about covers it. My opinion would be the EVO, honestly.
