Ok well i bought a 98 GS for 3000$.had about 70,000 miles on it.is it worth it to throw 4g63t in?or is it worth it to do anythnig to to be honest.body is in good shape and just bought carbon fiber hood for it but tell me is it going to be worth it to throw money into it when it.or better yet does it have a chance to beat anything when i stick the 4g63t in it as a auto tranny? but heres a pic u tell me also tell me if u want mor epics of inside or close ups.

You cant puta 4g63 in a rs or gs. The best thing you can do is
to just do body work and make it a clean ride. If you want something with more power potential, look into getting a gst or gsx.

It will not fit in the engine bay, at least not without alot of fabrication. The rs and gs engine bay is a full 4 inches smaller than the gst/gsx.

Because cost wise it just isnt worth it. There is alot of custom fabrication that goes into it. It is by no means a direct swap. The engine mounts dont line up and youll have problems fitting it with the front crossmember. Also the engine is mounted 180 degrees from the 4g63. Its just not cost effective when you could just buy a 4g63 eclipse in the first place.

And to the OP, yea its not too bad of a price. Just dont expect it too me fast. Its a reliable good gas mileage car as that is what it was intended. Anything more than that costs a decent ammount of money to even get it over 200whp. So thats just something to keep in mind. Performance aside, its seems like a solid deal
