BOV bad idea?

BOV bad idea?
i just bought a new BOV valve, but recently found out that it may actually do worse for my car than improve except maybe on the sound, it will idle poorly and the recycled air won't get put back into my intake which could mess up my ECU readings or something, whats the deal?

it's an HKS SSQV BOV some people have already told me it's probably a knock off cause i got it for 82 dollars...doesn't recycle into the intake it releases into atmosphere, i don't really care to much about sound as much as performance

You can actually recirculate that BOV with the recirculation kit.
However... if its a knock off then there is little point in using it. There is no way it will perform like the genuine product will. Get rid of it and get the real thing!

Its not even a kit, all you need is a recirculation fitting. Your stock recirculation tube will work fine. I have an HKS SSQV recirculated, works awesome. Is the price what makes you think its a knockoff? Is it used or brand new? Where did you buy it from? I got mine slightly used from a local guy for $75 and its the real deal.
