Default cams cams cams...

hey guys...
little by little starting to familiariaze myself with the 4G63T...
last on my list is really the internals... and in this case the cams...
i understand that there are some differences between the 1G and 2G heads and this is where the ploth thichens

1. are the cams interchangeable
2. cas sensor differences and concept of operation
3. cas sensor interchangeability between 1G and 2G

the reason being is that im getting ready to put together one hella 1G head. (thanks to dsm1990gsx i have a 1G core that i cam work with )

i have my cams picked out, springs and retainers, new lifters will be going in along with new folowers.

thanks guys

i believe the cams themselves are interchangable but the location of the CAS is the biggest difference. Its been a while since ive researched it but i do know they are different. There is a way to rewire the CAS to put the 1g head on the 2g block though. So there is no worry in doing that. I know RRE has alot of good info on these topics. Here is one of their articles on the swap

here's a stupid question...
do all 7 bolts walk ???
cuz i have a local wrecker that has 4 93 7 bolt engines and 3 6 bolters as well.
they are all cores since the T-Belt let go.
but dont really care since i want 1 or 2 back up engines knowing the way i drive and plan on spending a lot of time at the track this up comming summer.

im liking the the price of the eagle rotating assembly through SBR and seem to be nice having that 300CC's but my question is...
how high can it rev ??? cuz i know strokers dont like to be reved high, and i would love to be able to have a nice and wide top end since im opening eveything up so i can have a nice and strong topend. is 9200-9500 a bit unrealistic if i dont stroke ??
or do i have to resort to solid lifters ???

mines really scewed...
i can adjust the clutch 3 times a day and it will be still out..
if i leave the car running for more than 10 mins i have to readjust the clutch again.
today i made a few phone calls and i have foundquite a fewcores available for me to use for a build up for $300 each plus $50 for shipping.

i think im gonna pick up 2 6 bolters with 2 complete 92-94 heads.
anyone want some cams ??? i will soon have a set up for sale
im gonna build a stock motor just in case i blow something up, and an all out race motor.
was lookin around and found a nice deal at SBR for a nice 2.3L OR 2.0Leagle rotating assembly top that with a nice P&P head with a set od 280 cams, dual valve springs with Ti retainers, new bronze guides and new valve seals. to sandwich it alll together is gonna be a cometic headgasket and ARP studs
need to do a lil bit of reasearch for a short runner intake since at this point im really looking at some realy nice ones on ebay using a surge tank design and for $800 for the intake and the billet TB doesnt sound like a cheap knock off.
as far as the turbo is gonna go...
T4 60 trim with "P" wheels and a 46mm wastegate with a 4into1 style header.

well with that type of price it doesntseem like a knockoff but for that much money im not so sure id chance it. To me there is nothing better quality than a magnus intake manifold. They have been one of the best for a long time in that catagory. Here is the link
