well there should be 02 sensors on the piping also, im not familiar with te endeavor, but it would seem to me that it would have them. Aslo if you do that i dont think you will pass emmisions either

2 reasons 1 being with no cat or resenator that is a custom exhaust just because you did not spend hundreds of dollars does not mean that removing back pressure will not improve performance or mileage #2 any mods that can be done for free and keep a ride dependable and drivable have got to be the way to go

Yes, I've done it and it works. There is no O2 sensor after the 2nd CAT so it can be removed without any CEL or any other problems. I have a flagged straight pipe and flanged stock CAT so that I can switch them in minutes, if needed (inspection or dealer visit).
However, there is one thing I have different than what you asked. I did not remove the resonator. If you want to do this for flow (not sound), you dont need to remove resonator as it is a straight thru pipe with perforated wall (inside). So if anything, it helps to reduce the sound harsness.
I left the stock muffler with an after market steel tip. I can definately notice the motor reving freely now.
Its encouraging to see someone else trying to modify their Endeavor. Please keep your thoughts and experiements comming, forum or PM.
Thanks
