Yo i bought a very nice muffler for about $200. The sound is great but i was reading about putting cat back pipes or replacing catalyic convertor(sorry bout spelling) to help with h/p and sound. What are your thoughts ?
btw 2003 eclipse spyder 2.4 gs auto,

you will get better performance from enlarging the pipes from the cayt back. If you go to a muffler shop they can usually do it for 250 or so. Also I would recomend that you take your cayt off the car and stick a pipe through it and knock out all of the crap thats in there. A high flow cayt is expensive and its cheaper to buy a replacment for when you need to get the car inspected. Also your check eng. light will come on when you remove the cayt.
