Default Intake might kill my car?

I have a 03' Galant ES, and i am looking for a HI-Filter or a intake system, becuz to get better gas mileage.

I was gonna go for Weapon R secret Weapon Intake, but i heard Weapon is crap, is it?

and i heard about new intake might kill my air sensor, MAF?

should I get a intake then, and will it kill my sensor, how can I avoid it, increasing mileage?

or should I just get a K&N performance filter for $40?

Getting an intake will not kill your MAF. I have had about three intakes since getting my Galant and not one problem. I will be the first to say stay away from Weapon R. That was my very first intake and nothing but problems with there intakes. Injen and AEM is all I suggest.

Intakes are supposed to in theory provide better gas miliage but I have never noticed an improvment.
