as some of yall kno i just got my header on, and after it got it on it started so sound like a civic(like a bee in a can) and it didnt use to do that, so i waited for about 2 weeks now and it still makes that sound, is it my muffler, cuz its a cheap one, if not then what could it be?

 

it could be, if your mufflers on its way out it might start to sound like crap, how old is it??

 

headers do change the sound of your car... actually a lot of the time headers to make your car sound like a rices out civic...sry to say it.. i doubt its your muffler at all...umm the only solution i can give ya is save up and buy a exhaust kit for it now from the heads back......thats all i can say...(cause i dont think you went all the way back did you? just heads right?)

Sorry but thats all your gonna get out of that car. And making all new piping as well might just make it sound worse. Its still only got an engine as big as a civic, so what do you expect

 

lol true, i just dont like the sound, i was talking to my mom and i think she is gunna let me sell it, i was thinkin about a 240sx or a GST, what do yall think?

 

both of those cars would be alot more fun driving than your mirage...but keep in mind both of those cars are more expensive to fix up, maintain, and insure. but if you can, do it.

If you took out all the resignaters then thats what you will get out of a 4 banger without a turbo. If you put a resignater on the car it should take that raspy sound away. Just my 2 cents
