Newbie Question - 2003 Eclipse 2.4L Intake Upgade
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the newbie question but am looking at upgrading the intake on my 2003 2.4L Eclipse
I have seen K&N filters that replace the OEM filter directly, but is it worth spending the extra to replace the whole intake with one of those custom intakes ?
If so, is the K&N custom kit a worthwhile investment and how much extra performance would I expect to get over just the regular K&N filter ?
Not sure if it is true, but I have read that some kits don't work well in the rain. This is my daily use car, so it needs to work no matter what the weather.
Thanks in advance.

go with injen cold air intake. It sits under the car kind of that is where it is not good to drive through big puddles but if it raind heavy all you need to do is remove the extention pipe that goes to the bottom and put the filter near the mid section of it and you will be fine.
You will feel a difference actually I have owned both a 3g GS and a 3g GT and put on intaked and yes you get throaty noise but you will get a slight HP gain as well , but nothing great just a little extra
