O2 Sensor Removal

Hm, okay, so im having problems removing the O2 sensor from the resonator pipe, tried for about 30 mins with some pliers to remove it, no success. any ideas on how to remove it? i bought a megan catback FYI .... TIA

I would try to warm up the exhaust, then try it. You might even try PB Blaster if you're careful not to get any on the sensor (they are really sensitive to contamination).
Oh yeah, you could also use the correct sized box wrench from a buddy or something so that you don't round off o2 housing.

grrr, the sensor just doesn't wanna come out...spray some pb blaster on it last night...this thing is damn near impossible to remove...tried the warm up thing...still no luck, grr

I had the exact same problem with my talon. My solution was just to bring it to a shop where they only charged me $20 to do it. To me it was well worth not having to deal with getting it off

hm...currently put my car back in operation with just the axle-back...til i can find a shop that will take off my sensor, thanks for the suggestions, really appreciated!!!!!

You could always leave it in there and buy a new one to put in the new piping

hm, could be a possibility. hard to change the wire? kinda expensive tho for the wire, found one at extreme psi - $118 OEM O2 sensor. hm, ill think about this one awhile longer, lol. thanks for the extra ideas.

Well, it's not just the wire, it's a socket looking sensor with the wires attached at the end, lol. It unplugs fairly easily from the connectors. It's just a thought.
