Default short ram cold air intake

im assuming dat a short ram cold air intake means that the pipe from the air filter to the engine is shorter, so air reaches it quicker, im looking at the injen cold air intakes wonderin if i should go with the short ram or just regular.

first off what kinda car. And second the difference is that the short ram stays in the engine bay, and the cold air goes down to the bumper to get "colder air" which give better performance but leaves you with the chance of sucking in water when it rains. Id say just get the short ram. Also next time you might get quicker answers by using the "SEARCH" button

there is no such thing for the GSt.... isnt that wht you have? a Turbo intake doesnt matter so much it is a pipe with a filter that helps air flow the temp doesnt matter because it gets cooled after the turbo by the Intercooler

the only way to get a Cold Air Intake for a GS-T is to custom fab up one which is not easy or cheap.

Intakes are everywhere...Ebay, craigslist, even the classifieds here!
Are you expecting to make over 400 horsepower? because that would be the only reason you would want to bore your cylinders. The only cheap 16g's come from ebay, and theyre all imitation crap. Seeing as you are a n00b, i will give you a simple formula to remember whenever you buy parts.
VeryCheap = MuchoCrappo

I dont think a Evo 16g will fit the eclipses. And you wont find one of those to cheap I guess depends on what cheap is to you. personally I think all 16G kit for the DSM are cheap they are all under $1000.

yea but on a turbo car it is useless. lets think about the basics of a turbo. they run really hot so you need an IC. now if you add a cold air intake the air going into the turbo is cooler but the turbo runs hot so all its doing is becomeing hot air again. cold air\short ram are the same thing on a turbo car.

And also just FYI your stock compression is 8.5:1 and there is no reason to change that. Just get stronger pistons and rods if youd like. But with just a 16g your not gonna need it. Do a search for a evo III 16g
