Default smokey exaust?

idk if its normal, but for the 1st 15min or so that my car is on it puts out white smoke it doesnt do it at all after that but the exaust fumes are pretty potent on it (think its burning rich) but is it normal for a car with a turbo to do that? (i have a 97' talon tsi awd with a big 16g turbo(upgraded from stock 15)}

sounds like richness to me. And with those mods it might be normal.

Just so you know your car stock doesnt have a 15g. It came stock with a T25. And what other mods do you have? What boost are you running? What are you using to tune with?

well the car has 680cc injectors, 250lph fuel pump, raliart fpr,ported evo 3 manifold,wide thrust mod,steel gaskets, and is being tuned with an apex-i S-AFCII (which was way off and i got going a lil better) but i ran into a problem i didnt notice before, whenever i get on the car i blow some white smoke not to much but its enough that i noticed it in my rear view and as soon as i let off the gas after letting the turbo spool to the full 19psi its running ill get a shot of black smoke , then a couple seconds of the white smoke again any ideas people?

wait a minute, arnt you the same one that has the p0170 code? This is why you should keep stuff to one thread because its easier to fix a problem if you let us know all the problems. I bet if you replace that front 02 sensor you will get rid of both the code you have and the rich condition

[sm=owned.gif] he's right bro. don't take offense to it but you really need to keep your problems in one thread so that we can annalyze all of them and see if 1 fix won't knock out more than1 problem. o2 sensors are about 70-90 bucks at advanced and only take about 15-20 mins to swap out.

it wasnt a touble post he did. All he did is ask about two problems in different threads, where in this case trey happened to be related, so putting them in one thread would have made it easier to solve. Thats all
