i am pretty new to DIY maintenance on my vehicle (03 Lancer), and so when my brake lights went out i replaced them thinking they went out but thought it was weird they both went out at the same time... so i replaced them and still dont work... i tried looking at the fuzes to see if one of them were blown but they looked fine too... anyone got any ideas?

 

Check the stop lamp switch at the brake pedal.

 

there will be anywhere between 3-5 wires at the switch, one should see +12v whenever you hit the pedal.
