Default A/F guage

Ok guys, I'm currently attempting to wire up my first air/fuel ratio gauge and I've hit a snare. the gauge has 4 wires, red, white, green and black. Now i have the the green and black hooked up already, the green hooks up to the signal wire on the o2 and the black is a motor ground.
Now the red in the instructions says to hook up to a fuse protected source of +12v, now where should i go about putting that?
The white says it needs to be hooked into a circuit energized by the headlamp switch or tail light circuit, where do i put that wire into or onto?

actually a narrowband will go crazy like at idle its going to just keep jumping back and forth. The narrowband is pretty usuless....all it does it give a nice little color light show

12v is self explanitory. You need 12v (it should specify switched or constant, I'm assuming it's switched). Go to the ignition harness for your power and make sure that your conenction is good and secure. You'll need to find the positive trigger for the lights, can usually be found either at the switch or in the drivers side kick panel. check the 12volt.com for wiring diagrams.
