Hardwire an external accessory in Montero
I am having difficulties hardwiring a GPS in my Montero and i was hoping someone might give me some pointers.
The issue i am having is connecting the power wire to the fuse box. I was hoping i could use an add-a-curcuit connector to tap into one of the fuse locations. There are only two ATO fuses in the truck both are 30amp and both slots are hot even with the car turned off (which is not ideal as i am afraid GPS will drain the battery). The rest of the fuses are mini fuses with a minimum of 10 amps. I have tried every store here as well as online but could not find a mini fuse connector kit that has a limit of more then 10 Amps. (my gps requires 3amp fuse so even a limit of 15 amp would work).
Has anybody ran into similar issues?
Thanks!
