When I got my GST, it came with a turbo timer. The turbo is bad (dying bearings), so I offered up to trade for a new T25. TheAdvocate agreed, and now I need to know how to get the turbo timer out of the car. Mainly what I need to know is: What does it plug in to? It is a Greddy turbo timer.

Owners guide to the Greddy Full Auto TT. That should get you going. Next time, google it. You'd be amazed at what you'd find. Page 4 gives you most of the info you need. Why are you removing the timer though? It'll work with the new turbo just as well as it did with the old one.

 

I'm removing it to trade. I can't afford a new turbo, and I hate to let my car sit and idle, so I've been keeping it off anyway. When I buy a bigger turbo eventually, I will get a combo unit for the turbo.

 

The turbo timer will help extend the life of your turbo...I still have no idea as to why you are removing it??? Are you selling the car or something? It doesn't plug into the turbo itself, it plugs into the ignition system of the car, right? You don't have to "sit with the car and let the car idle". I have the GReddy turbo timer and I set mine for 1 min. 30 sec. The timer counts down from that and when it starts counting down I just close the garage door and walk away keys in hand andthe car shuts off when the timer reaches zero. I had mine professionally installed. It will help your turbo man! Keep it in there!

 

if hes going with the t25 would you still need a turbo? stock eclipses dont have turbo timers.

 

The T25 is a turbo! And I know Eclipses don't come with a stock turbo timer...that's why I bought a GReddy turbo timer and had it installed by a professional who knows a lot and has a lot of experience with car electronics.

Wow you guys are all really confused, he's trading his old turbo and his turbo timer, for a new t25. Which sounds like a trade I would do too. And that's his only choice if he doesn't have any money. And it depends on if they wired it into the ignition wiring through a plug and play kid or not. If its a plug and play kit then all you have to do is take off the 2 screws and then unplug both sides of it and plug the two ends into each other
