Default Unorthodox Racing Flywheel

Hey, I put an unorthodox aluminum flywheel in my car a few weeks ago. Well, now they ripped me off and I am out $400 b/c of labor. I ordered the flywheel and had it put in and everything went like clockwerk until they started it up right after the installation. The engine had a hard time starting so i figured the battery just need charging and the long drive home would do just that. Well, it didn't. Car got home and refused to start. Charged the battery and it still didn't. Put a new starter in and almost cranked and died. I called Unorthodox and they claimed all their flywheels are direct fit and should have no problems. I then had to have the flywheel removed (out of my pocket, also the second starter) and send the flywheel to Unorthodox headquarters. They didn't call me so I called them and they said that THEY put the wrong ringgear on and were going to send me another. My transmission guy told me if it didn't work this time then he wasn't touching it again (b/c he had other cars to finish and was going out of his way to help me). I then told Unorthodox that unless they were willing to reimburse me for the labor considering the new flywheel they wanted to send me didn't work either, then I just want a refund. I told them I was being nice b/c Unorthodox racing put on the wrong ringgear, so why was I having to pay for their mistake? They simply refused to reimburse me and told me to call the distributor for a refund. ALL IM SAYING IS IF YOUR WILLING TO BUY UNORTHODOX PRODUCTS(NOT SAYING THEY'RE BAD) BE PREPARED TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES TOO!!!

Happens to everyone dude. I think the mistake here isn't the issue, the issue is their unwillingness to help out a customer.

I agree with you, you should not have to pay for their own mistake.

However, shouldn't you're mechanic have noticed something was up when he went to install it?

Yea, but the problem was the ringgear and it wasn't really noticeable unless measured, but i still dont wanna deal with a company that isn't concerned w/ a customer.
