Default 0-60 and 1/4 mile times?

I have a 1993 3000gt. I'm having a problem figuring out what the actual 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the 3000gt really are. I have seen on a website that it runs an 8.5 0-60 time and a 16.8 in the 1/4 mile. but to me this just can't be right. i just can't see a car with a good amount of horse power and torque going that slow. And it doesn't feel like it goes that slow to me when i floor it. does anyone know the real times???

a have the base model 1993 but it had dohc so it's the 222hp engine. the base model with 160hp wasn't made till 1997. the sl was just the more luxurious addition in 93

listen...i raced my buddies supra and he did a 15 flat. i beat him. so our cars can definately move. those nimbers mean nothing to me. its not accurate. the car is heavy but not to the point where it would cause the car to be THAT slow. mine is a 94 sl and it does not drive like it's slow at all. im not just saying this bc it's my car or anything.

that good to know. i was gettin alittle scared that a car that looks like it can run 12's would just beat 17's. good to know it can beat a 15 sec supra. thanks

no prob. i was a little scared when iu saw that site too. i know which one u ar e talking about and i doubt that those numbers are accurate. but your car is stock right? upgrade it if you don't think that it's making anough power. i heard an exaust system would make alot of power. someone told me almost 30hp. i know it will make power but i dont know about 30.

yeah the only thing i can see that helping is for launching and for faster cluth engagement. but you didn't bother changing out the flywheel on the car while you put in a stage 3 clutch?
