3000gt fuel relay problem?
My 923000gt SLstarted to start hard with a click sound coming from the fuel relay mounted on the passenger side of the console. Then it got to the point where the relay just made a constant fast clicking sound and won't start until sometimes the relay or something clicks in and then it will start. It will idle for a while and then all of a sudden the relay starts fluttering and the engine dies and it won't start again. For a week or so it would start with no problem, then it would take me 10 times to get it to start.
Any ideas?
Some say the computer, some say the relay??
Just recently, the same clicking started coming while in motion, after the car and been running a short time. The rpms would drop to zero, and the engine just shuts down. However, the stereo keeps playing, engine lights come on etc. Has anyone had a problem like this? It doesn't do it all the time, and the mechanic can't get it to act up for him- he also can't find anything scanning it (I guess since it runs fine while he has it) any information would be greatly appreciated. The mechanic named off about 5 different things it could be, but it'll be tricky to figure out what is actually wrong. If someone else has had the same problem, they may know where to start.

thanks,

I went through the same BS...after weeks of elimination, it turned out to be my CAS. (crank angle sensor) It's an easy install on 91-92 cars, but it's a $300.00 part! On 93 and up, the part is only $85.00 but it's several hours of labor to install. There is WAY too much for me to explain here, so the best I can do for you, is refer you to "the bible" of the 3/S platform. Most ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you need to know about your car will be located here. Good luck!http://www.stealth316.com/0-home.htm
