Default 3000GT R?

Hi, I'm new to the mitsubishi world, I have stuck to mopar muscle cars most of my life, but here I am. I bought a 1994 300GT Limited Edition today. It's a nice ride, has nothing wrong with it, and the price was right. No complaints from me at this point, except that it looks out of place in my driveway with the 60's and 70's Dodges and Plymouths.

The questions I haveare about the front emblem. It Says GT with a large red R under it. What does this mean? Is this a special trim package of some kind? I can't find any reference for it. What does it designate? Is there something special about this car?

Thanks for any help you can provide

You should know that in Europe they made a MR version that had carbon fiber parts.

The only way to know would be to see a pic.

Thanks for the replies. I doubt this one is any crazy Euro model, but wouldn't that be one hell of a deal for 4 grand? Upon closer inspection of the emblem, it is made ofone piece of metal, bolted into place where the original Mitsu emblem used to be. So it's just something one of the previous owners threw on there. No big deal. I tried to link a picture of it, maybe someone can tell me what it goes to...

Thanks again!

Mopar, I am still pretty new to Mitsubishi also, but I think they had a VR-4 version ... maybe the R is the only part not broken off?? That's about all I can figure.

I found out the GT-R is off a Japanese Skyline. It will be coming off this weekend and a Mitsu emblem going back on.

Congrats.

It seems like the Mitusbishi emblem looks to be under it.
