Having a tranny problem on a 94 SL. I just did a engine and tranny swap. The engine and tranny were never seperated mind you. Now there is 50K on this engne and tranny and it ran awesome and shifted awesome i drove the car it was in. Now when i swaped it over to the other car, i can only get first and second and nothing eles. Even when the car is off i only get first and second. Very confused, really hope you guys can help me out. Thanks.

 

Come on guys doesn't anyone have somekind of an idea? Im lost right now. This transmission was supose to work perfectly it can't just not work all of a sudden.

 

Check your linkage adjustments, you might have them bound up or broke them when you were swapping. Also check your clutch make sure all the air is out of the system.

 

With the linkage undone, trying to manualy shift the trannsmission by hand, still will not work.
