3000gt vr4
i'm going to be selling my 1993 3000gt in a month or two and am looking to upgrade to a vr4. i would prefer the 2nd generation, maybe like a 1994 because of the 6-speed tranny and extra power. but i dont know if i'll have enough for it so it may come down to the 1st generation. i've heard about problems with the 1st gen. like electrical problems and problems with the syncros. is there anything else wrong with the 1st gen or does anyone know of someone selling the'r 2nd gen any time soon?

RE: 3000gt vr4
The 91's had an 18 spline output shaft. It's not tough enough to launch the car very many times before it breaks. The only common electrical problem on the 1st gens in the capacitors used on the control units, ECU, ECS and TCU. The cars were technologically advanced for their time, they DO have lots of sensors, wiring harness', computers in various areas of the car that can make troubleshooting a wiring issue very difficult.
