hello all. Got a few problems with my 92 3.0 dohc. I just rebuilt my motor about 3000 miles ago. Everything was going good until about 300 miles ago when a lash adjuster collapsed on me and started taping badly. I had no choice but to drive the car , i took it easy on it to not ruin the engine. I have no idea what the hell is going on. I drove the car for about a week and the noise stoped, and drove good for about a week. I now have another that collapsed on the back head and has been doing for about 2 weeks. My oil pressure is low at idle but fine at 2000 rpms. absolutly no oil comes to the top side when engine at idle(800rpms). I am going to change the oil for the first time since the rebuilt tomorrow and see if that helps. If any one has any advice it would be very helpful. I have put a great deal of money into this engine and would like to save it, but im at my ropes end until i get some advice.Thanks for reading and PLEASE HELP!!!! [:@]

 

Use a Mobil 1 or Pure One oil filter. (synthetic media) Also try this technique.

i talked to a guy who told me to put dexron3 in my gas..He has been a machanic for close to 40 years and says he puts it in his truck once every month. If you have any suggestions if this will work please post. Im not sure about it in the gas but i do know it conditions the internal engine if you put it in your oil. Never heard of putting in your gas....Later XONE
