You know the old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." I would test it out and see if any problems come up. I noticed you were concerned with the radiator and I have some good info if you have an overheating problem. My 99 VR4 was overheating while in slow traffic and I took it to a good mechanic and he didn't find any problems. After looking real close I noticed that the radiator had bug guts packed in the tiny slots. I ended up taking a small pocket knife that had a blade the same shape as the slots in the radiator and kept poking them clean until I could see light from the other side while holding a light behind it. It fixed the problem and has run cool ever since. Good luck with your new toy...
