<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">I have aH Reg GTO non turbo 3.0 V6 which was running fine, has 34K miles on the clock and it was running fine. It was an auto but i thought the gearshift was not to smooth a little jerkey. didn't pay no attention to it. Managed to spin the car at 100mph and the car spun right round so must have gone backwards whilst still doing about 80mph before it spun back. The engine didn't stall so i carried on and it drove fine. After another 400 or so miles the rough gear change got gradually worse and worse until one day i was waiting at a junction with foot on the brake and it in D and as i went to pull away nothing. Just revved and no movement.</FONT></P>


<FONT face="Times New Roman">Got towed home and tried it again once the gearbox and engine had cooled. It worked for a foot or so and stopped. Every time i try it from cold it will move about a foot or so and then stop working.</FONT></P>


<FONT face="Times New Roman">Any ideas anyone? Torque converter, oil pump or gearbox?</FONT></P>

 

mine does that when i go in reverse most of the time and every now and then it does it when i put it into first.Dont know why it does it though and mine is manual so it could be a whole different thing.
