Default bogs down in gear

I have a 92 automatic that bogs down when in gear. It only revs up to 2500 rpms in 1st, 2nd ,D & R. There's no problem in P or N. It just happened all the sudden.
Any ideas????

Check your intake system. Sounds like you have a loose connection on the air intake.

Default RE: bogs down in gear

Thanks Gary. The intake system looks good. It appears that it's stuck in it's highest gear, because there's no change in L or 2nd, which means it won't gear down. I'm thinking something is wrong with the tranny. What's weird, is that it runs bogged down in both drive and reverse. This 92 only has 72k on it, so I'm a bit surprised that the tranny would be shot. Any more ideas??????

Jack
