Default cant pass state emissions..

got a auto 95 3000gt. i gotta do state emissions. sadly, i failed 6 times. i did my spark plugs, new air filter, and i even cheated and went to auto zone and put 3 bottles of 'heat' in my gas tank. didnt work. they have to put me on the rollers since i dont have the plug in. theres 3 things i have to pass..carbon monoxide, nitrogens, and hydrocarbons. i keep failing in hdrocarbons and i ran out of ideas of what it could be. maybe a new cat? im not sure. helppp

Not sure what your regs are there but in Oregon a trick that seems to work is to run your tank close to empty, put in about a gallon's worth of rubbing alcohol from the grocery store and retake the test. Your car will run like crap, so after passing fill up with premium. I haven't personally used it as I live out of the emissions testing boundary, but my son has used it to good effect.
