You can replace your ECU with an AEM, butyou have to decide what benefits you will have by doing this.

1) If you have a stock car and do not plan to heavily modify it,aren't familiar with tuning, and not willing to send it to a shopto tune for you: I would not advise going to an AEM.

2) If you have orare planning on light to moderate modification, I would suggest a piggy back fuel/timing controller (which would still require a working stock ECU).

My fiance and I both own 3000GT VR-4s. He runs an AEM EMS, and I use a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate. For daily street driveability, my EMU is far superior. It is easier to set up, cheaper, and simpler to tune.

If you don't NEED an AEM, just get a stock ECU. If you HAVE to have an AEM, supercarengineering.com also sells the AEM for $~1459. The owner is a great guy dedicated to bringing quality products to the 3/S community.

How bad is your board damage though? If the traces are still good, and additional components beyond the three-four tower capacitors aren't fried, you can try to repair it. I have the appropriate capacitors if you are interested.

so theres no way to fix the ECU.. coz im thinking if it only involved a single issue with one coil then maybe that alone can be addressed... ECU is quite expensive to replace
