Default Front end problem

I have 95 3000gt base. When i brake hard or turn the wheel fast and hit the gas i get a sound like metal is snapping or rubbing. Im almost positive to replace my brake pads and most likely the rotors. But also i get a rattling noise when i go over bumps. It sounds like something is lose. Ive been told its just a housing is loose or possibly my control arms. Well i need to know what everyone thinks so that i think about fixing it myself or going to my machinic. Any input would help.
