Default Lifter tick/ Any other help?

I've got lifter tick('95 base,98k)and it is pretty bad.I have tried adding differentproducts designed for lifter tickat last three oil changes(lifter tick stop, lucas oil stabilizer) and have tried the suggested reving/idling tricks with no luck.I am seriousy thinking of replacing the lifters just becasue of the annoyance and embarrasment of the tick.
Any other remedy suggestions and anyone give estimate of cost to replace lifters(parts/labor)?

I've got the same car same tick...mechanic says its because the oiler hole on the original lifter is only 1mm..too small and causes lifter tick..new generation lifters have a 3mm hole and tick is gone...I've priced lifters from 175 to 225 and labor was quoted at 850.....I'm using a synthetic oil and it seems to have solved the problem...

You could always go to www.3sx.com and buy new lifters that came in the '99 models. It will get rid of the noise.
