Default odd headlight problem

hiya, i own a '93 SL and of late have started having this weird problem with the headlights(as stated in the subject)

it seems that whenever i turn my car off after driving it around for a little bit
the headlights pop-up, usually about 15-20 minutes after i turned it off

it first did it every now and then and only when i had used the lights(night, rain, etc)
but now it seems that they pop-up regardless

was wondering if someone could help me out
or give me any info on why its doin this

thanks alot guys

sorry that i really don't have any solution for your problem***********? many many more people on there specifically drive 3s's and i'm sure someone has experienced this.

but, to me it seems like maybe it has something to do with an alarm. but that is one absolutely wild guess

If theyre any thing like the lights on a Corvette, it may be the vacuum lines giving out once the pump is shut off long enough.

yeah, it won't let you if you have certain e-mails. like i think they could be called passport e-mails. if you could get a centurytel e-mail, i bet it would work because that's waht i have. but i don't know if they are free or what

and if you put the key in and they go down, i think that would have something to do with the alarm. by anychance do you have keyless entry, but use the key for the door instead?

I think it has something to do with the factory alarm system. Have you ever been there when the lights come up? My RT does the same thing when I lock the doors. Sometimes the alarm will trigger, other times the lights just pop up. I don't lock my doors very often as there isn't anything in the car to steal and a car theif is bothered by locked doors so I just take my chances.
