Default overheat problem

Hi, i have 1995 manuel 3000gt base. it overheats when i drive it in 40mph and more constantly. It also overheats if i drive high revs. the strange think is that it doesn't overheat in traffic jam. I went to a lot of mechanics, i changed thermostat, i washed radiator with some washer liquids but problem still remains.
mechanic suggests to change radiator but i'm not sure that it works and don't wanna pay for nothing. Any idea???

Default Overheat Problem

Hey man, I am having the same problem. A 99 RS and it runs about 3/4 of the heat guage on the interstate running 70+, but never overheats completely. My mechanic is miffed also. We had the radiator rodded, changed the thermostat and still no cigar. Wonder is the water pump a piece of work. I had a new one put on about 6 months ago with the timing belt. Can't figure it out

well the 3000gt (stock) is known for over heating problems. it sounds like to me if ur running 50/50 mix on ur coolant. try 75% water and 25% antifreeze. only in the warm weather. and switch back to 50/50 in the cold weather.
