Radio doesn't work

Question Radio doesn't work

Hello guys, have a problem with my radio, I called mitsubishi costumer service
(USA) and a gentle girl gave me my code, just with my Serial number radio and the last 8 digits of the VIN number, I entered the 4 digit code and everything appear right, (unloked) lights, functions, but there is not sound at all... My car is a Mitsubishi Eclipse 2000 GT the radio has cd and casette...

Can somebody help me with this ...????

Does it show that a cd or the tuner is "playing"? I see you said it unlocked the functions, but does it actually try to play a cd?

Default All look's ok...!!!

When the radio was locked am take off the cd's inside, after that trying but no work's, screen show disc error, I check the speakers input, the arness behind the radio and all look's ok... think is something like configuration, because can see the "st" linking on the screen like sounding...




P.D. sorry for my english am from Costa Rica...

You can switch between cd and tunerand change station but nothing of sound...

I'd guess speaker wires are bad if you aren't hearing any sound. If everything is hooked up properly, and your speakers were blown, you at least hear static.

The radio bring an amplifier is located under passenger seat, it is the problem aparently, some water there. This kind of radio doesn't have outputs just a signal to the amplifier.

Hope this information help somebody.....!!!!!!!!
