I JUST GOT MY 3000GT IS AN SL 1995 AND IM GONNA CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS LATER AND I WANT TO DO IT MY SELF(MAYBE) BUT I HAVE A Q? DO OYU HAVE TO TORQUE THOSE BOLTS OR ANYTHING TO A SPECIFIC SETTING??? HOW MUCH WOULD IT BE TO GET IT DONE IN AN AUTOSHOP????

Just take your time. I think there is 7 main bolts on top of the intake, 2 nuts, 6 that hold on the fuel inj. harness, wiring harness, and cruise cables (2 each), the 2 on the back of the intake, and the intake pipe. Get you a bungee cord or rope, and tie it up out of the way, no need to completely remove it from the car. Put a rag over the lower intake when you lift the plenum off. You don't want any foreign material dropping into a cylinder.

I guess I didn't put them on right. I just used a extention on socket it worked fine. Snug but fine. I guess I do have small hands.

I'm sure there are torque specs for the intake bolts/nuts, but I've never followed any. Just snugged them in a staggered pattern then tightened them as tight as I felt comfortable. Just remember, you are tightening the bolts into aluminum, you will strip them if you overtighten them.

having a magnetic extension does solve mind crunchin rescue missions for fallen bolts
just a word of advice
