reverse stalling

my 1993 automatic seems to be stalling if i reverse up hill. just a slight hill backing into a parking spot even. idk whats happening but it doesnt do it all the time. the car just shuts off and i have to restart it. last saturday it happened 3 times backing into the same spot. lol
